Maxine Shisselle was born in Liverpool and sadly passed away in February 2014. Her inspiration was producing art. She worked with mixed media and collage focusing on textures.
Her subject matters mainly concentrated on architecture and design.
She was very involved in the world of breast cancer and her paintings helped raised funds for good causes. She created 'Go Pink 08' and exhibition that attracted forty artists, who very kindly donated their work for the show.
She also organised 'Go Pink & Blue 09', which involved eighty local artists supporting female and male specific cancers.
Organising these exhibitions encouraged Maxine and it allowed her to feel more connected and enthusiastic about painting,.
She very kindly donated many paintings over the years for various charities, which inspired her to think more deeply about what we have before us, for instance, Liverpool is filled with charm and some amazing features.
